Let's try to back up a little. You told me about Purple Haze, so is there anything about Hierophant you want to know?

[... oh, he wasn't expecting that. Especially considering that he shared information about Purple Haze because between what Kakyoin and Giorno told him, he knows much more about Hierophant and Kakyoin than the other way around.]

Oh, well. What's his range? (If you're curious: Purple Haze is only effective for about five meters, most of the time.)

Five seems to be close to the general reach of most close-range Stands I've encountered. We can reach fifty.

That's impressive. I can only think of ... three? Stands off the top of my whose effective ranges were longer than that. And two of them were remote control Stands, which is arguably a different class. (Ex: Close Range, Medium Range, Long Range, Remote Control)

I've only met one or possibly two that could reach further than I can. I don't see many other ranged Stands in general.

How would you define a 'remote control' Stand, exactly?

Remotely controlled Stands are Stands that can be sent tremendous distances from their users. They're often very independent, displaying varying levels of personality and free will.

Damage to these Stands often doesn't reflect on their users, which implies they're simply not as connected with their Stands as the average user is.

That's fascinating, I don't think that I've encountered one of those before.

They seem to be very unusual. I suppose it takes a unique mindset to be able to master those sorts of abilities.

I can't even imagine what sort of mindset that would take, honestly.

I've thought about it, but it's difficult. It seems very impersonal, especially with automatic Stands.

Hierophant and I have always been one and the same. The idea of being so distant from one's own Stand is honestly unnerving.

Seeing visions. You said his Stand let him see visions, right? I'm kind of getting flashes right now. Okay, not 'kind of.' I am. I saw myself calling you about four times before I decided to just do it.

Didn't he need to break something first? I am feeling a little annoyed I'm not having to break things. At least if I had to do that, I could control when they are happening.

He, uh...he used to channel Hermit Purple through things like cameras and TV screens. I think he used to have to break the former, but I'm not certain offhand just how far his power developed.

Yes, since early this morning. I assume the city is up to its usual tricks again. I also assumed that is why you aren't wearing your glasses as usual.

[HE IS EXTREMELY CONCERNED. He's also tired from seeing the consequences of what seems like a million ill-thought out actions since this morning.]

Well, we really don't have many of ether of those things. Still, I feel slighted. Someone tell the city I want a redo on this power. Either that or a way to shut it off.

Well, I...now that you mention it, I just don't seem to need them lately. My sight's better than it ever was, even before we fought N'doul. I guess it does seem like the city must be up to something, but questioning it seemed like a bad idea.

What kind of visions, exactly?

[That's easy to say when you aren't seeing visions of yourself and others every 10 or so minutes. Okay, he's exaggerating, but it sure seems that way.]

They vary. Some are short and some are a little longer. Most don't have sound, but every so often I'll catch a few words or sounds. Like the ones I had of me calling you? I never got any sound out of any of them, but I saw one of myself barely avoiding tripping on Lulu and heard her hiss at me in the vision.

So far, it's pretty mundane stuff. I just hope it stays that way.

Most of what I saw him do was photographs, so this seems a bit different. He'd channel his Stand through something, and we'd get a photograph or image of whatever Dio was doing at the moment.

In other words, it wasn't just random visions like you're talking about.

Lucky me Ruby City's version of Hermit Purple is like a hundred times worse.

If I got along better with Joesph I would ask him about it. Of course, at the age he is now, he wouldn't actually know anything about it, would he?

[The E Rank luck is so strong right now. He would actually take just getting visions of Dio at the moment since from what he knows of the one here, the boy seems to spend a lot of time in the library or reading. That isn't so bad, really.]

He wouldn't, no--I think he only gained a Stand shortly before we met. But why would the city be trying to mimic Hermit Purple, and what does my sight have to do with it...?

Why does this city do any of the things it does?

[He looks annoyed for a moment before his expression becomes more thoughtful.]

Have you noticed anything else different about yourself today? What about Hierophant Green? Does he seem the same?

Just my eyes--nothing else is out of place, and Hierophant is completely normal as far as I've been able to tell.

Hmm... I wonder if it is different for those of you who are already Stand users. Maybe it is harder for the city to change things like that about you? I mean, they are part of your soul, after all.
