Because you weren't used to it. I'm sure if you wore it more often you wouldn't even notice. But as I said, I've never worn it so I wouldn't know.

We actually did talk about this once--Jotaro, Giorno, and myself. It was just after Holly got here, we were asking Giorno how to cover up my scars if we needed to.

...It all sounded like a lot of trouble so I just went back to wearing sunglasses for a while.

[Which sounds clumsy, but he means it. Scars are a way to prove to the world that you're a warrior, a fighter, someone who took on the world and survived. Kakyoin ought to be proud of them, even if the fight in question wasn't exactly an example of heroism. He's a hero in most cases; it averages out.]

youll just pass through high school without having to try at all
i mean senior year is kind of easy ANYWAY especially once you get into college

My grades have always been spotless, that's not what I'm concerned about. I was thinking more to the effect of 'people will find it unusual if someone that age is still in high school'.

i fought jotaro on my first day at a new school

and then we left

i'm going to have so much work to make up it's going to take me a month
