Have I ever told you that you give excellent advice? [So, of course, Kakyoin committed the cardinal sin of disrupting The Noodle(tm) and started brushing his hair back into a different arrangement.]

[He paused long enough to tap the back of the brush playfully against Jotaro's head, laughing.]

I was foolish enough to entertain your ego, how could I? Someday I'll learn my lesson.

I put it on to see how it looked a while after you gave it to me, but this is the first I've actually worn it.

How do you want to look? Tell me that first. When you close your eyes and think about what you look like, what do you think I'm seeing?

I, er... [Caught off guard, Kakyoin stammered for a second or two before trying to fumble for a coherent answer.]

I'd...probably want to look nice without going so far as to seem like I was delicate or breakable, I think. Kind of like how Giorno seems to manage coming across like someone that would break your legs and not even have his hair fall out of place in the process. Does that make any sense?

...I was going to say, you look like a business executive about to conduct a negotiation.

The kind where you end up on top, but everybody comes away satisfied.

I think that I could be a fairly good negotiator, on occasion. [He leaned a little closer, smirking.]

But when all else fails, stubborn persistence does tend to get me exactly the kind of complete victory I'm after.

[He reaches up, snaking his hands around Kakyoin's shoulders to connect at the nape of his neck, both to help pull him down and to prevent him from escaping.]

Don't make it sound like you have to try, in order to get me to love you.

Not at all, I know better than that. But I also know you'd much prefer a little willful stubbornness to someone passive and indifferent, wouldn't you?

I don't think you could ever be passive and indifferent. About anything.
