[Kakyoin almost flinched at what was, from his perspective, a sudden touch to his shoulder. A faint silver and green flicker behind him was the only real indication he'd been startled at all, and Hierophant vanished as quickly as it had manifested.]
[He didn't feel the twinge of broken tripwires running through his nerves like an electric shock, and there was no sudden impact or blinding pain. Of course there wasn't, but some irrationally paranoid part of him had half-expected disaster.]

I'm okay. It just surprised me a little, I can get used to that. [Which was entirely true; the trick was going to be in stamping out that stupid, irrational fear that Kakyoin was sure he hadn't seen the last of.] It's a little weird, but...kind of cool, moving so suddenly like that.
[He presses his face against Kakyoin's shoulder, muffling a yawn that ends in him lightly setting his teeth against the cloth and mouthing a bite there, for good measure.]
