Not really. It's true that we have a pretty good range of them in Japan, but I like them for a lot of reasons. Most of the time they require careful thought and precise timing, so there's usually some pretty good challenge to be found in one way or another. And they're not usually something that requires getting a group of people together like most sports--it's suitable for someone that might be on their own for some reason.
I like a lot of them. Most of my favorites aren't ones you would ordinarily find in an arcade, but out of the ones that are here I prefer the racing games. F-Mega's probably my favorite.

It's fairly straightforward in concept,but the controls are a little difficult to explain without a direct example. The goal is just to avoid obstacles and get to the finish line before your opponent.
