There's...actually something I've been meaning to tell you. it's not all that relevant, but I think I may as well say it now, as long as we're talking.

Well, you've listened to me make an idiot of myself long enough tonight. You can pretty much do whatever you want at this point.

Okay. I just want to tell you something, and you can do whatever you want with that.

[Deep breath. He uncrossed his arms, adjusted his glasses, and looked at Caesar straight on with steady violet eyes crossed by scars. Five words, it was simple. Then it would be out of his hands and up to Caesar to decide if he wanted it to mean something.]

[Jotaro. Holly. Giorno. Polnareff. Whether or not a fifth name would be put on that list wasn't his choice--but if it was, that name would already be there.]

[He says it very quietly, and only after a small pause; and then after that pause, he pauses again, and he doesn't think about anything much. He's being quite so that he can be in this moment, this moment exactly as it is, and make sure he remembers it forever.]

[He hasn't actually smiled this whole time. He doesn't realize he's smiling now. But he is, just a little, faint and fond.]

Mm. Noriaki, then. But if you piss me off, it's full names all the way. That's how it works in my family.

That's fine. I don't really plan on making you angry.

[A brighter, earnest smile crossed Kakyoin's face before he even realized one had started.]

Just don't use the other one and we've got a deal.

[He shakes his head very seriously.]

I'd never.

I know that you wouldn't. I was only joking, forget it.

If anyone else does, I can punch them for you.

You're actually implying I need other people to do my punching for me? I'm hurt and offended--I might not hit very hard, but I manage when it counts.

You don't need it, I would just find it satisfying.
