i think it's only as weird as you two decide it is, to be a little blunt about the matter. what i mean is
this one friend of mine, i guess we're related in an alternate universe, something absurd like that, and we talked about it like 'my family isn't here, your family isn't here, it sucks for both of us so we can try that whole family thing if you want to'
so i guess what i mean is it's weird but it's just
whatever the two of you make it
i'm not saying i'd trust polnareff with caring for a small child for an extended period of time, but one could absolutely do worse when it comes to family, surrogate or otherwise
