Right, absolutely--we need to make sure we're not just a disorganized mess.
It's hard to say much in the way of specifics, when I don't know anything about her. I do know that I don't want to just drag some poor woman into this mess not knowing what the hell she's in for. I don't mean fully transparent 'so we need you two to get together because we might have met your hypothetical kid', but some middle ground between that and saying nothing at all would be a good idea.
Ideally she should be someone both of us can get along with, too. I'm not going to be jealous or anything stupid like that, but I don't exactly plan on stepping aside and acting like I'm not an active factor in all of this either.
